Farber believes that finances should not be a barrier to a child’s receiving a Jewish education. Many families qualify for and receive financial aid, which is available for students at all grade levels. CDC funding, for those who qualify, is accepted at Farber for ECC students. We encourage you to have a conversation with our finance department before making an assumption about whether or not you might be eligible for financial aid. To apply for financial aid, apply through and register with the FACTS system, visit https://online.factsmgt.com/SignIn/3cx17.
Farber has a strong Educational Support Services department and we strive to meet the needs of as broad an array of learning styles as possible. Please CLICK HERE for a full description of our ESS department.

The ECC and Kindergarten have a weather- and play-appropriate dress code, and boys wear a kippah and tzitzit beginning in Nursery 4.
In 1st – 5th Grade, boys and girls are required to wear a solid colored shirt with a collar. Sleeve length should be at mid-bicep or longer. Boys must wear long pants and girls must wear skirts that cover the knees. Boys must wear a kippah and tzitzit at all times.
Beginning in 6th grade, boys’ shirts must have collars but girls’ do not. Boys can wear black, dark blue, navy, gray or khaki pants (no jeans).
Families can sign up for hot lunch three days a week.
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer busing to students.
Our families live primarily in Southfield, Oak Park, Huntington Woods, and West Bloomfield.
Students who turn 5 before September 1 may enter kindergarten that year.
At the Elementary School level and higher, class sizes do not exceed 20 students and are often 12-15 students on average.
Farber’s students, from age 1 through high school seniors, learn together in one building, which houses four wings, one for each division. Construction was completed on Farber’s new building in 2017. We are proud of our state of the art, modern learning spaces, spacious Beit Midrash, indoor and outdoor playgrounds for ECC and Elementary students, full-size gymnasium and athletic field, and science labs.
