Admission Information

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Farber Hebrew Day School!

In the best tradition of Modern Orthodox Jewish education, Farber Hebrew Day School provides a Torah-centered program that nurtures each student’s development, fosters community involvement, and sets rigorous academic standards. Our students grow spiritually and academically, gaining maturity in an environment focused on learning. Family involvement is a cornerstone of our success, and parents are welcomed as vital partners in the total education of our children. At Farber you will find not only a wonderful school for your children, you will also find an environment where families come together as a community.  Many of our families choose to join us for davening on weekday mornings and afternoons, as well as on Sunday morning at “Davening and Donuts” and participate in a variety of community and family events offered by the school throughout the year. Our comprehensive educational program begins with children in our Day Care as young as 1 year old to students in our High School in the 12th Grade.

With a developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to challenge, stimulate, and provide a mastery of skills in both Judaic and General Studies, we aim to educate the whole person—emotionally, academically, socially, and ethically. The caring and nurturing administration and faculty at Farber Hebrew Day School seek to instill in each student an abiding attitude of respect for others, a sense of collective responsibility of Jews for each other and the larger community, a passion for lifelong learning, and a deep commitment to the State of Israel.

At Farber Hebrew Day School we pride ourselves on providing parallel excellence in both General Studies and Judaic Studies education, with our students regularly admitted to the colleges and universities of their choice. With high expectations of both our students and faculty, we maintain an academically rigorous atmosphere, conducive to inquiry and intellectual exploration. As a Modern Orthodox school we teach Judaic Studies with sophistication, aiming to challenge and inspire our students. A majority of our graduating seniors continue their education in Israel for at least a year before pursuing higher education in a college or university setting.

My goal is to make the application process as simple and friendly as possible and to provide your family with all the information you need about Farber Hebrew Day School. As part of our process, we invite your child to shadow another student for a day to learn for themselves some of what Farber has to offer.  Throughout the school year we have several Open Houses aimed at various age groups – Early Childhood/Elementary, Middle School and High School.  You are also highly encouraged to come and visit the school during the school day to sit in on classes and take a tour.  I look forward to the opportunity of getting to know you and your family. Please come visit us to experience the warmth and spirit of our very special school.

B’Shalom
