Elizabeth Doppelt

Elizabeth (Lizzy) Doppelt

Lizzy graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Language Arts and Science, and a K- 8 certification. She began her education career in an informal setting through the Israel and Overseas Department at the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit serving as the program coordinator of Miracle Mission III to Israel. Lizzy then became the Assistant Director of Shalom Street, an interactive Jewish children’s museum in the West Bloomfield JCC. An opportunity to become the Fifth Grade teacher at Farber Hebrew Day School brought her back to formal education. Lizzy earned a Master’s Degree in Education–Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment–from Marygrove College. She works extremely hard on helping the fifth graders transition into middle school, and became the Middle School Assistant Principal to further assist this process by planning such events as color war, Purim festivities, 8th Grade final celebration, Events Day, and other educational programming. She also helps to coordinate educational interventions between the teachers, education support services team, parents, and students to ensure that all students’ educational and developmental needs are being met. Lizzy believes in the mission of Farber to educate our children in a secular, Judaic, and Zionistic setting in helping to create well rounded students.
